January 2012 Newsletter
Happy New Year Everyone!
2011 was a very intense year, marked by a lot of changes, lessons, suffering, surprises, and loss. It was intense on many levels – astrologically, energetically, and spiritually.
Many of us felt like we were alone; that we had been left alone to figure out things on our own. There are reasons for that. Much of the energy has been rooted in fear, and people have been spreading fear about the year 2012 and the Mayan calendar. Some people think that the world is going to end, but that is not going to happen. The world as we know it is changing. With all of the fear, it has been a difficult time for us to go to the next level. All of these challenging experiences have been presented to us so that we will open up our hearts. Whatever we experienced in 2011 such as the challenges, the changes, the tribulations, we still will see about six more months of an energy similar to what we experienced in 2011.
Now it’s about taking the teachings of Jesus and seeing how we can shift our world – how we can allow the feminine energy to really come out again (to re-emerge), how we can live from intuition, and how we can truly start living from compassion.
For the past 2500 years, we’ve been living in a male oriented world and have forgotten the feminine energy. We associated the male energy with Jesus’ birth; with his birth, we thought that the male energy should stand as strongly and firmly as it has, but his message was more inclusive than that. Jesus was here in a male body to teach us love. His spirit is about teaching humanity how to love. Jesus’ masculine and feminine energies were very well balanced within him.
The reason for all the challenges is so that we will wake up and really look at Jesus’ teachings once more, and bring everything to a new way of living. Maybe we should allow the truth of his life to come out; what he stood for to come out. Maybe his marriage to Mary Magdalene and their daughter Sara needs to be unveiled.
I have a little story to share. My 75 year-old mother, who had never meditated until recently, participated in a sacred ceremony honoring Jesus that my group and I held in Greece. My mother, who is Greek Orthodox, had no idea of the marriage of Mary Magdalene and Jesus. During our meditation, my mother had a vision of Jesus, a woman, and a baby. This is the holy family. My mother’s vision inspired me to talk about this.
The reason I share this story with all of you is because a lot of truths are starting to be unveiled. I think that 2012 is about speaking our truth, opening our hearts, trusting our intuition, and honoring ourselves 100 percent.
Since 2012 began, the other thing that has happened is that the days feel like they are going by faster. Everything comes to the surface much faster. We do not have as much time to digest and process things as we did in the past. That’s why we need to stay in our truth and in our hearts and honor ourselves.
As difficult as our lives may seem, this is a wonderful opportunity and time for us. We are blessed to live in this time as the world is changing and shifting toward the unconditional love that we all need for ourselves. So as you think of 2012, focus on the positive aspects instead of the negative. Create your daily life in a positive way!
