Zeffi Kefala: Healer, Medical Intuitive, Spiritual Guide
Currently residing in Sedona, Arizona, Zeffi Kefala is an internationally accomplished Reiki Karuna Master, medical intuitive, psychic, and spiritual counselor and healer whose work has taken her to Asia, Europe, and the United States. Zeffi opened the first official Reiki Center in her native country, Greece, and currently serves as president of the Athens Reiki Center.
Seeking An Answer
Following the 1987 stock market crash and the end of her marrige, Zeffi began to seek meaning to her life through spirituality and to rely less on the material world for her security. For three years, Zeffi studied meditation and bounced between a life of abundance and fugality. Eventually, she found her answer in the middle path.
The constant struggle that many people on the spiritual path find with accepting the material goods life has to offer, and vice versa, is something Zeffi understands on a very fundamental level. Abundance is not something to shun; instead, it is one of God's gifts to embrace.
Finding Her Path
In 1996, Zeffi decided to devote all of her energies to her healing, teaching, and psychic abilities on a professional level. In 1998, she was invited to do healings and readings in Japan and spent time at Mount Kuriyama, the holy mountain where Reiki originated.
As a gift to her Japanese sponsor, she offered to initiate her into the first level of Reiki. The next day, before leaving for the mountain, five other Japanese students decided to join them and asked for the Reiki teaching as well. This was the beginning of a new path for Zeffi and she devoted a great deal of time to teaching Reiki all over the world and starting the first Reiki Center in Greece.
During this time, Zeffi traveled all over the world studying with the masters in India, Asia, Europe and the United States. The knowledge she acquired in these regions drew from the rich spiritual traditions of Hindu, Buddhist, Tibetan and Native American culture. This brought her to a deeper understanding of the human psyche.
Especially significant, Zeffi studied with Philippine teachers learning the Sacred Art of Healing. Her teachers had noticed her gift as a medical intuitive and helped her develop those abilities. Early on she had the ability to pinpoint illness within the body through meditation, which has continually evolved over time to that of being a conscious channel.
