What Is New Age Philosophy
Dear Friends of Ancient Healing,
Old Age, New Age, What Age are you? Do you remember the old age? - full of judgment, expectation and fear! What you should do was viewed by most eyes and enforced by "Straighten up!", "You'll get in trouble!" and much harsher encouragements. Then you could easily be shunned by your peers and degraded publicly. The atmosphere was constrained, limiting. Who really didn't want to break out of that? Yes, the good Old Days were good for good Ol' People. But something happened - what was it? "Something" slowly changed and seemingly everything changed - not everything, but a large part of our awareness.
Someone woke up one day asking "why can't I do that? It's part of being alive." With growing questions, demonstrations, confrontations and even litigations, the way was cleared for behavior and ideas previously not tolerated: Black = White, Woman = Man, My God = Your God. But much more is coming.
We change, evolve, individually and collectively. Everyone and everything is intimately connected. I affect you. You affect me. We are subtly connected. We know each other before we meet. We know much more beyond our daily awareness. Our daily awareness is the "something" that is changing. It grows to include more of what we already know beyond daily awareness. With our vast interconnectedness, all conditions may become known to our self-aware consciousness. A great you is within you waiting to be discovered.
A powerful life urge is fundamental to life. Life is ever expansive, ever more all-inclusive. Life force expresses through us. With our increasing knowledge and understanding, old ways of thinking no longer fit the world we now realize: concepts change. The information age has fostered this New Age.
From our beginning way back in time (or maybe before time) we were dipped in worldly matter to give physical existence. The body is in the mind; the mind is not in the body. Our daily consciousness focuses through the senses to the physical world. That's how we experience our separate existence. We are finding the greater reality of our existence as our consciousness evolves into subtler sensitivities. Our light clicks brighter and brighter with each new age.
Many new ages have been and will be. The limited span of our mundane time awareness pulls our current experience out of context. Look at history as travels, as changes in consciousness. Imagine the changes the first European settlers went through when encountering this vast new land ( America) of new possibilities. The yokes of the Old World no longer constrained these people. Their daily consciousness changed. Today we are rediscovering this land long taken for granted.
From the east comes the idea of the cycle of the ages: our consciousness is influenced by the rotation of the earth, the lunar cycle (water), the circuit of the earth around the sun (fire) and the 24,000 year cycle of the solar system around Alcyon in the Pleiades (air). This 24,000-year cycle goes through the stages of darkened consciousness, technological development, a mental age and finally a golden age. This circuit continues not as a circle but rather as an upward spiral. This is the DNA of our evolution.
How To Stay Focused And Live Life More Wholesomely
In the day and age where our lives have become much like that of going through a drive-in window, we begin to find we don't have time to do the things we enjoy, or find that time to have a quality relationship with ourselves, others in our lives and hence flowing over into our spiritual relationship. Look at what is holistic living, using the definition from American Heritage dictionary: the belief emphasizing the importance of the whole and the independence of its parts.
Our lives have a three-fold relationship, the relationship we have with ourselves, the relationships we have with others, and our relationship with God or one's Higher Power. Over the years I have heard people tell me, I don't have time for me, or that's selfish and self-centered. One of the most important relationships one will have in this lifetime, is that relationship with one's self. When one fails to be the care-giver to themselves, what you inevitably will see is this flows over into the relationship with others, on into ones spiritual relationship. All three independent relationships, yet all part of the whole.
A few years ago I read a article, about how many of us have become "sleep-walkers" going through life. We basically are like that ball in a pinball machine. We move along the course and we slam into a "life obstacle". Instead of seeing the importance of that obstacle, we continue down the course until slammed again, and hoping like heck not to fall into the hole at the end of the game. Life isn't about punishment, or being tormented, or slammed around, its truly awakening from that sleep and living life to the fullest and its potential. Seeing those "life obstacles" as lessons, that prepare us, shape us, develop who we are, what we become, in order for us to share with not only ourselves, but others and our spiritual journey.
We awaken to learn what it is to love oneself. How many times have we heard the questions asked, "I wonder if anyone loves me." We begin to base that love on what others think and say about us. Our self-worth isn't based on those who love us or doesn't love us, its based on "Do we love ourselves." We all have different beliefs, after studying various beliefs they all in some form or another come back on this lesson, self-love. It always brings to mind, when Jesus said, "Love God and your neighbor, as you love yourself." Basically confirming you can't be one without the other. Over the years I have heard people state, "Its easier to love others than myself", reason being its painful to look at the reason we can't love ourselves, so therefore we "literally stuff that pain" deep within ourselves, grasping for those "quick fixes" from the feelings and emotions of loving others.
Self-love is discovering what is the best for one's own well-being. Discovering that self-love is not what is always good for others, what is fun, or what makes one feel good - but an honest, self-reflection, self-criticism and analyzation that sometimes maybe difficult and demanding of who we are.
It's discovering what your own self-needs here are and recognizing them. Self-love demands self-discipline, self-recognition, and sacrifice yet through the process will come the courage and strength, thus in turn we are then able to reach out to others. We begin to learn to take time out for ourselves, instead of reaching that "burn out stage", knowing when we need to either let our body rest, or take a mental break. Its learning to see when we need to step back, and be the care-giver with our own being. When we do this for ourselves, not only is it healthy for us in our own growth and daily living it is healthy for those around us.
Recently, in speaking to a friend, she had shared how tired and frazzled she was with her life and how at times all she could do was sit and cry. I made the suggestion of taking some time for herself, her reply back, "With everything in my life, I have no time." She continued on to tell how with her work she wasn't accomplishing the daily tasks required of her, and in her relationship with her children she wasn't finding the patience to deal with their problems, or how her relationship with her husband was like two ships passing each other in the night.
We get so busy fulfilling those "things", "responsibilities", in our life we feel we don't have time for ourselves. We send a loud message, "I'm not worth the time." Like that pin ball game, that process of hitting one obstacle to hit another, all the time trying to avoid going into that hole, we find ourselves there sooner or later as my friend had.
No one can stop this spiraling "sleep walking" process, until one decides for themselves to end this vicious cycle or course they are on. Take that time today, to see the importance of how all three relationships have to be nurtured and tended.
If one is neglected, it spills over into the other two. Learn to rediscover you, as the person, the unique individual. One who is self-confident, one who is constantly evolving and changing, one who is not "lifeless" but full of life. One who isn't just seeking answers, but one who is asking "life giving questions." Take that risk of knowing what to live means, knowing what the "obstacles" the poundings one endures, to become life lessons in teaching you of your self-strength, self-love, self-endurance and self-respect. Going forth to develop healthy relationships with others and building a stronger bond in your spiritual relationship.
Sorry Jesus isn't coming.
Sounds like bad news doesn't it. For many, it may be. For those who do not yet understand the true and eternal power of free will, the fact that Jesus isn't coming to Earth in a Caravan of Light to fix things up right tidy, could be devastating. Of course, there will be some who read this and judge it as false without hearing me out.
Can you imagine, waiting all this time for Jesus to come and save you, only to find out it doesn't work that way? All those Sunday church meetings and Wednesday prayer breakfasts for nothing? He's just not coming. Not in the way you expect.
Salvation is a state of mind/heart. You honestly do not have to go anywhere, physically, to be saved. Heaven is in the heart and needs no building, or textbook. Jesus had neither. The time has always been right now to truly surrender to Love and go home in the heart.
Contrary to popular belief, no one in the Middle East will die at the hands of a wrathful God. No one in jail around the world will be lit on fire at the hands of Love. No lost soul will be shunned into oblivion at the hands of Light. No earth will be scorched at the hands of the Divine. No single soul who opted for Buddha or Mohammed, instead of Jesus, will be left behind and judged as unlovable and silly. What kind of God would play favorites? What kind of parent would unlove their child who chose a different way than they? Would that parent leave them behind and save only the child that falls in line?
The only thing that matters in all of life is the KNOWLEDGE and experience of Love. Whether you connect with love through Jesus, or through Yanni, it matters not. Love is Love and you will know it when you feel it. Love judges and fears nothing. Love includes every living thing, no matter what. Love sees no differences between this or that. Love is blind.
Jesus will not descend to Earth. Descending gives Jesus an ear ache. We are asked to Ascend to Love for eternity. We go up. He doesn't come down. Up means to elevate your heart and mind to that of the Christ Consciousness. Forgive the world you fear.
Fact is, it is YOU who must make the trip to your own Salvation. You will be the One, when you are ready, to forgive the world and choose peace. With your willingness and effort comes the open road and a map. It is up to you to pack your own bags, fill up your own gas, put air in the tires, and chart your journey of the heart. You will be lovingly guided as you move along, as you are dedicated to be the peace you seek. You determine the smooth or rocky road, you determine the timing, you determine your traveling companions, you determine how many stops you will make along the way.
Think of all the many millions of people who honestly believe there is a way to go home on a wing and a prayer without taking important parts of themselves with them, such as their brothers and sisters. There is a wonderful teaching in A Course In Miracles, a favorite text of mine, that says, "No one goes home until we all go home." It's a no brainer really, if you believe in a God who loves unconditionally.
We did not arrive alone, and we will not go home alone. You are never alone. How could you be? We are one. Quantum Physics has proven this. We are all deeply connected and that connection is the key to understanding Salvation.
Unless and until you understand the true meaning of forgiveness, which is to release and surrender all perceived error in another, you cannot get through the last toll booths. Forgiveness, even unto death. This is a lot harder than it sounds.
There will come a time when you will pass from this physical plane, and move into a spirit essence, but the temporary ceiling of unforgiveness is still set by humankind's unwillingness to take the hand of our perceived enemies. I suspect the next, non-physical level up is filled with confused Christians, Muslims and Jews, wondering "Why the rest stop?" No one person can decide for another, but it's the collective "Yes!" that will open the Gates of Heaven. The Gates of Heaven ask only that we all come together.
Your true Salvation lies only in your continued decision for forgiveness and love in the here and now. Dedicate to leave this planet understanding the sun shines on everyone, and you will find haven in the hands of Light on the next leg of your journey. Leave this planet pointing fingers and you will know the sure direction you must walk to meet face to face with your own unhealed heart.
Jesus said, "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do." We can believe that. And we can forgive too. Jesus never fought the darkness, even unto death. He offered only light.
A while ago, I was praying for some guidance and asked God how Jesus had the power to heal and perform miracles. I imagined, at the time, that Jesus had some special way of performing miracles, and I wanted to know what that way was. Was it simply God working through him? That's when I imagined God as a person. Were there certain thoughts, or symbols, or beads, or candles, or foods that blessed him in certain ways? I envisioned a detailed answer to my prayer. I never doubted I would get the truth. The answer came: "Jesus forgave the world." Jesus had only one thing he needed to act in the image of his Creator. Love.
Jesus is not coming to Earth to retrieve us good ones, or offer us the Kingdom we think we lost. The Kingdom is within. It was never taken from us. We hid it from ourselves. But, Jesus longs for us, and all those we have judged as unworthy of Love. He longs for them no less than he longs for us. Recognition of this one thing alone, will get you where you want to be. It is a journey, and is one that includes the thoughts and actions of all living things.
You have free will. You have a map. You have the Will to be what you really are. It's your choice. No one is going to make it for you, or save you from a fierce Earth. Forgive the world and everything in it. The cost of deciding otherwise is the cost of Salvation.
