Venus, known as the planet of love, is the ruling planet of the astrological sign of Taurus. If you are close to any Taurans in your life, you can immediately recall details of sensual, earthy encounters, written, spoken or intimated with a not so casual glance or a gentle but well placed touch. Those ruled by the planet Venus are ruled by their senses, and that is what Venus is all about.
Named for the Roman Goddess of Love, Venus is famous for the passions she could stir among the gods. Beneath the dense thick layers of toxic clouds that cover our beautiful internal image of Venus, lies a smoldering spirit, desirous of pleasure, sensuality, personal possessions, comfort and ease.
In East Indian astrology, Venus is known as Shukra and represents wealth, pleasure, and fertility. The Chinese believe Venus to have the beauty of gold, and the bold and unyielding strength necessary to withstand any storm.
So if you happen to find yourself relaxing with your Tauran lover and you are especially dazzled by the silken feel of the late spring wind whispering across your shoulders, or equally delighted by the quail making their bubbling bobble noises, or hearing the bamboo chimes pip pop in the breeze, you might just wonder where in the devil did Venus pop up in your chart?
