Moon Whispers for November

The Snow Moon will grace us with her presence on the twelfth of this month, and brings to us the rebirth of the Divine Masculine.  The story of Isis and Osiris is one of legend and myth, yet represents the ideal of the whole union between the Masculine and the Feminine.  When Osiris is killed by his brother, Seth, it is through Isis' love and devotion that she has the power to bring him back from the dead.  But this is not just merely a romantic notion:  it is because of her understanding of the Divine Masculine within herself that she has this power.

What Isis knew was of the balance between the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine, which exists within each of us, and that one cannot exist without the other.  In essence, without the Sun, the Earth cannot bloom, and without the Divine Masculine, there is no Sun.  Isis saves herself as well, by bringing Osiris back to life.

The rebirth of Osiris is marked on the third of November.  It will be our intention this month to honor the rebirth of our Divine Masculine by adding to our altars a representation of Osiris.  Of course you can choose other divine representations for your altar, like Shiva, Archangel Michael, or Christ.  Choose one right for you.  The Divine Masculine energy has been just as forgotten as the Divine Feminine.  Now that we have done some great work over the past couple months with the Goddess, we have built strength and clarity within our Divine Feminine.  It is now our time to be like Isis, and with our         strength, love, and our Truth, breathe life back into our Divine Masculine.

With the rebirth of the Divine Masculine, we can begin to recognize the power it carries.  And in recognizing that power, we can begin to heal the union between the Feminine and Masculine.   When Kali is in her fierce rage and killing the Demon for nine days, Shiva realizes she can ultimately destroy the world.  So on the tenth day, he throws himself down at her feet, pretending to die.  He does this not out of fear, or weakness, but with the power of his love for her, his Light.  With this, she remembers who she is, and it snaps her out of her rage.  He gives to her the space to remember love and compassion.  She receives his light, and gives back to him her love, compassion and devotion.  The balance is honored.

Our altars, with the addition of the Divine Masculine represented, will aid us in our meditations.  Additionally, we will use an indigo colored candle, a small bowl of water and another bowl for rice.  We can add the sugilite stone, which is the love stone for this age.  It facilitates the manifestation of this energy on the Earth plane.  It provides a pathway from the crown to the root for the Kundalini energy.  If you cannot find one of these stones, don't worry: use instead a purple hued cloth for your altar.

The Masculine side of our body is usually represented on the right side.  Acknowledge how your right side is feeling.  Do you have any pains, discomfort, or disturbance?  Write down what you feel, and then write down what areas in your life you feel you are not moving forward in.  Sit comfortably, preferably for a minimum of twenty minutes, to continue with the meditation:

Visualize the warm light of the Sun coming down into the top of your head, the Crown Chakra, and bring it down through your spine, and through your sacrum, into the deep center of the Earth.  Connect into her fire, and anchor there.  Take ten deep breaths, in through your nose, out through your mouth.  Start looking at the pains, aches and emotions you feel on the right side specifically, and see what is holding you back and creating those pains.  Release those things and your fears.  In their place visualize boldness and unconditional love for what you want, and for yourself.

Bringing the energy of the love from the Earth back up into your heart, offer that love to the Sun.  Take three deep breaths.  Place your note of troubles on the altar, and trust it will be taken and healing will manifest as soon as possible.
