Clearing away negative attachments

Dear Friends of Ancient Healing,

This month I would like for you to utilize this meditation to clear any negative attachments and/or cords you may have attached to people in or out of your life. You can clear any emotional issues or situations out of your life and learn how to regain your energy back from all the drains in your life.

Among healers the sharing of energy is referred to as cording. This cord represents life support tubing energetically connecting two individuals together. The world is full of unhealthy relationships. In these relationships, individuals cling to one another allowing cord attachments to occur between them. Seldom is the sharing done equally. Often times when people breakup from a relationship, what they don't realize is that they may very well still have cords attached. The intact cord keeps an open channel for continuous feeding on each other’s emotions and anxieties.

This healing meditation is designed to allow you direct access to the energetic component of all of your past experiences and allow you to not only gain the benefit of forgiveness, but give you the opportunity to let go of the past.

It is important that before starting that you find a quiet, comfortable place to sit where you will not be disturbed. You may choose to take a hot bath in the evening and do your meditation while in the bathtub. If you choose to do your meditation in the bath, I recommend that you use very hot water and add some sea salt or Epsom salt to your bathwater.

If you choose to sit in a quiet place, remember to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. You may want to play some soothing music to help you relax during your meditation. Place your feet flat on the floor and do not cross your legs or arms. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing.

Begin your meditation by taking long, deep breaths for a few minutes to become centered. In any form of meditation, it is suggested to mentally surround yourself with the White Light for protection from negative energies. Now visualize you are in a room that is a soothing blue color. Continue to breathe deeply while visualizing above your head a bright white light that goes from the top of your head and runs down through your spine, down through your tailbone and out of your tailbone into the earth beneath you. By visualizing this you are creating a grounding cord for yourself by allowing a flow of energy to cascade down from the area near the base of your spine (your first chakra), to the center of the earth, the heart of the mother.

Imagine the light traveling down; down through the earth until it reaches the center where the white light becomes the fire at the center and becomes an anchor, anchoring you to Mother Earth keeping you grounded, safe, and secure within yourself. Be sure to keep breathing and release energy down your grounding by simply relaxing and letting go. Let go of any tension or discomfort.

Visualize the person that you wish to disconnect and cut cords from sitting across from you. When you feel ready to energetically connect with this other person begin to check the places on your body that have hooks from that person to your body. Check where all the cords are hooked into your body. Each hook should have a name, such as abandonment, rejection, anger and so forth, but do not use the label of victim. Every time you unhook yourself from this person you should feel the emotion involved with the issue you are letting go of and release whatever your attachment is to this person. With your fingers surrounded by the pink light of unconditional love, unhook the cords and send it back to them with unconditional love and no expectations. Work from chakra to chakra starting with the 1 st chakra (the root chakra) and moving up all the way to the top of your head. Meditate on releasing any negative cords you may have with another and ask that they be dissolved or sent back to their origin and at the same time call back any pieces of yourself that you have given to another. Remember to ask your guides or angels to help you release these cords.

Close the meditation when you feel balanced and whole. Come back to your center and feel the unconditional love of mother earth and father sky, bringing your energy slowly back into the boundaries of your body, breathing in newness and light, and breathing out old, unneeded emotions, and patterns. Breathe this way for a moment, feeling yourself in your body once again, then, when you are ready open your eyes.

I strongly recommend that you do this meditation for 21 consecutive days, as this meditation if done in repetition will really be more effective in taking your power back.
