I’m back in Sedona and in the month of my absence since writing the last newsletter, a lot of things have happened in my personal family life and in the world. I traveled to many different places, and what I realized is that a lot of changes are happening through these experiences. I saw people and re-lived situations that I had not seen for 15 years. Specifically this was true of my trip to New York City where I visited with old friends. After letting go of New York 20 years ago, friends of mine back then were telling me when I first moved to Sedona and started on my spiritual path, to let go of Sedona and come back to New York and get a life. I realized when I was in New York this time, that when I made the decision 20 years ago to let go of New York and my life there, it was the best thing I ever did. Because when I made that choice to leave, I had nothing concrete; it was just a feeling that it was time for a change and I had no idea if it was a change for a job, or a city, or what it was about. So I really went beyond my comfort zone. Going beyond my comfort zone brought me to where I am today, which is a place of following my heart and following my intuition, and living a life that was very different from before, but is very rewarding.
It’s very important for us to make decisions and maybe we don’t know exactly what the outcome will be, but if we go beyond our comfort zone, at one point we will have the confirmation that we did the right thing.
I want to say how grateful I am that I let go of fears 20 years ago so that I can be where I am today. And I will say for you that it is the same thing. Your mantra should be to let go of fears – that they don’t serve you anymore. Trust your intuition and move beyond your comfort zone. And the comfort zone sometimes is just a habit. It is not always the correct place for us to be.
As you see around us, the world is changing constantly. Nothing is secure as we would like it to be. Every day there is a thing that happens that we did not expect, for example, this big tragedy in Nepal. When the world finds us so unprepared for a tragedy like that, the only thing we can count on is love that we feel inside for the people we lost and also for the people that remain alive. In our little world, within our families, our work, and daily life, the most important thing is to feel love and to come from our hearts. And that way, anything unexpected, we can deal with.
I want to let you know that I understand your fears of letting go. I am there for you when you are going through the experience of letting go and that is why I am sharing my own experience. I hope that with this sharing, it will help you understand yourselves and move forward without regrets.
I am sending you a lot of love and blessings as you are letting go and moving forward.
P.S. I am back in Sedona until early July and am available for private sessions and workshops. Please contact me to schedule. I look forward to hearing from you.
P.P.S. If you have any comments or feedback on this newsletter, please contact me directly at email@example.com. This is a much easier way for me to respond to your comments (rather than leaving a comment through the website). Thank you so much!
